What I do

I am Eric Miller, an internet enthusiast based out of Pittsburgh, who just happened to pick up on web technologies at an early age. I currently work for an advertising agency known as Yellow Submarine Marketing doing all the interactive work with a small group of talented developers. My sole job here is to bring our art directors visions to life. I've done flash applications, wordpress websites, from scratch websites, facebook tabs, landing pages, email collectors, and banner ads (definitely my least favorite). My knowledge is mostly in web technologies, but I'd consider myself a front-end developer. My friends and I used to joke and call each other “problem solvers” with a sarcastic tone of course, but as my experience grows in the online market that nickname almost seems to be true. There are thousands of different ways to get a project from point a to point b, but it's all about how it's accomplished hence "problem solving."

I live just a few minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, and love every minute of it. You can find me at the coffee shop behind my apartment getting “work” done, that could be anything from browsing the internet, reading the latest posts from smashing magazine, or cramming to get a project done for the next day. I enjoy music shows (mainly dubstep, and punk), trying all the awesome food Pittsburgh has to offer, and simply sitting on my roof and enjoying the best view of the Pittsburgh skyline anyone will see (if you're interested contact me I'll send you a picture, then you'll believe me!).
